Yes, there is a lot of new things in this version. Some hidden features Akai does not communicate, like MIDI monitor or Undo History to name a few. Maybe the next version will provide a legato for keygroups, a standard mixer view, the arranger and the disk streaming. Let's hope... One thing that prevents me to use it Live is the ability to directly remote the 16 q-links with MIDI CC, so that, depending on the song I play, I could control any drum/keygroup/plugin program with the same knobs of my MIDI keyboard. But, yeah, it's a very good update, no doubt about that. The USB class compliant interface compatibility is rad.

In case you missed it, there's now an extra screen in SAMPLE EDIT - click on the white arrow to the right of the screen to reveal the key and bpm detection options.

Under where you download the firmware there is the Synth Content download. There is a folder called "Synths" that you put on the root of your SD Card or SSD drive

Well, at least Akai is consistent

I’m very excited with the new firmware and the new synth plugins. However, I cannot see the new synth plugins listed when I select plugin on my MPC Live 2 running the new 2.10 firmware.

Am I right in thinking that I will have to get a SD Card and select the 2.10 synth content before the plugins become visible?
