Song Mode problem

Hi!

I have the following problem. When I convert my song to a sequence some effects and some volume settings are incorrectly converted. Really annoying cause I wanted to import these tracks into my DAW...
Any suggestions?

You don't need to do any of that. Just load MPC Software as a VST into your DAW. There is no need to convert anything. Once you're into MPC Software VST, open your exported project (xpa) and then configure the audio routing if you want to add separated tracks for the mixdown.

Converting to a sequence from song mode is buggy, lots of things can go wrong (e.g. track and pad mutes). However most of these issues can be fixed by examining the tracks in LIST EDIT and deleting unwanted events that the MPC may have added, or tweaking events that may have had values changed for some reason.

Some people just avoid song mode altogether and just build everything from a single long sequence from the beginning.

(BTW, this is an ongoing issue, not just related to the latest 2.10 release).

It is a shame that they seem to just forget about some of the undeveloped core features like Song Mode and the browser (I appreciate the browser has seen an update but it's still far too basic and clunky for what is supposed to be a standalone file management system. e.g. it still doesn't have copy/paste/move, create folder or proper search indexing and tagging.

Far from maschine, The good thing is the folder/file structure is relatively simple. I eject the card & do the copy/pasting from my windows laptop.

Song Mode is integral to the workflow... I assume time sig and tempo changes still don’t convert correctly. I can’t return til they fix that ish. Glad they tidied some screens up. It’s encouraging that this was a point update though.
