Anybody else getting a Splice error after the firmware update?

When I'm in controller mode and I eject the disk then disconnect to go to standalone, I immediately get an error that says "Splice Error: Download directory could not be found." Splice still syncs and downloads my sounds fine, I just get the error.

It only happens after switching from controller mode to standalone, and it never happened before 2.10.

I had the same question about using my USB audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett 18i8) with my DAW/laptop and as a compliant interface for the MPC X. I haven't figured out yet how to connect both to my audio interface. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Cant share interfaces between hosts, so you either switch them around when you need it or you buy a dedicated one for the MPC and leave the computer setup as it is.

Thanks for the quick response. I was afraid that would the case. I guess I can switch them around for now until I get a dedicated audio interface for the X.

Ha! Mostly because of all the NI/NKS VIs I use, I've been considering the same switch.

This update does absolutely nothing for my situation, but it's great to see Akai's support. A few cool workflow additions too, which is what I want from the Live at this point.

The only thing I like better is NI’s eco system. All your plugs and expansions are one click away.

If you buy a first party expansion from Akai you have to backup the files and create other redundant back ups or you lose them forever. You aren’t even privy to updates for those expansions.

Do you mean if you buy one of Akai's sample expansions you don't have access to re-download it, say, 6 months later if you were to lose it or if there was an update?

Is it Me...or did they Improve the Warp a lil bit? I say that because there is no more Warp Setting in the Preferences. And it sounds a lil better when i play with the BPM and Percentage Settings. It may just be in my Mind

The m+ For me is still at the bleeding edge, and feels beta.. not ready for performance time. Lots of clicks and pops and cpu issues. Using the VI’s in the box is a bit painful, with the limited layout. I’m not super impressed with the VI’s, however the work that has gone into creating the patches is amazing. Some of the effects like the raum reverb are lush. I find the ecosystem closed and annoying. I.e. to build your own instrument you need to buy Kontakt, and the samples are encrypted, and locked into NI ecosystem only.
