I guess this is new from 2.10 version. I have seen that some instruments (from official expansions) works well with pitch and modulation wheels of my connected keyboard. However they do not work with other expansion for example the free ones of MPC Samples.
Is it about expansion configuration?
Do the wheels works before 2.10 version?

Pitch wheel and mod wheel control are configured in program edit, and have been an option available since MPC 1.0. I believe most of the free instrument expansions on my site should have this already set up where appropriate, some older ones might not. But for example the free MPC J60 expansion will have this, as will Sonkal and the Source. If an individual program doesn't have this it's because I felt it wasn't appropriate to add it, for example I might not add pitch bend to a pad instrument.
But even the Reaper bass has pitch bend included.

Which expansion are you trying to use that doesn't have pitch bend or mod wheel added? Remember this is only available for keygroup programs, not drum programs.

Yes I didn't add pitch bend for a trumpet as it didn't sound natural. I believe you can kind of bend a trumpet note, but pitch bend sounds better on instruments such as guitar, bass, leads etc. That instrument does however have some mod wheel control on it, you can use it to add a small amount of vibrato (LFO modulating the pitch).
