Hi everyone,
I'm currrently making a house track and I want to mute the kick every now and then. But when I do obviously the signal of the kick that triggers the sidechain compression is gone and my bass, synths etc are kind of all over the place. Unmuting the kick brings me back to the harmonic sound that I want.
Digging into the various topics here concerning sidechaining I created a separate kick on a separate track. Now the problem is that you don't have the option of "no output" on the mpc one. So if I put it on "out 3/4" I still here the kick somewhere in the background.
In short, what can I do to create this effect of triggering the sidechain whilst having my main kick muted?
Cheers
