ive researched the 2000xl for a long time and decided it just wasnt what i wanted (the suggestions of other "full" samplers left me unsatisfied).
the 4000 on the other hand has me wondering many things, even after research. anyone who can help me out is greatly apreciated....
1. is the 4000 capable of "full" sampling (more than just drums and short samples)?
i've been using cakewalk multitracking products (8.0 - sonar xl) and steinberg products (cubase - nuendo) for making beats, composing scores, and mixing for a long time, along with sound forge and various "waves" plug-ins for wav editing and although i've loved the flexibility of a computer based setup i cannot stand the low reliability....so tell me.......
2. would the mpc 4000 along with ak sys be an equally flexible but more stable setup?
i also have a fully automated tascam dm-24 digital mixing console and an echo layla 24/96 soundcard connected to my comp. both have spdif and adat lightpipe i/o along with wordclock.
3. which version of the 4000 would suit this setup best?
i've read what i can find and im still oblivious to the depth of the sequencer/multitracking type capabilities........anyone whos had experience with a setup like mine and could compare would be seriously apreciated.
