Q-link assigned to Odyssey settings?

Hi! I'm new to the MPC world and just ordered a One and did my best to RTFM but couldn't quite figure out if this is possible: can you assign/hard code q-link knobs to control specific parameters of any Synth? For example, to set knob 1 to control an oscillator shape, or knob 2 to control the filter cutoff? I understand there's a mode that let's you set 4 sets of 4 knobs in this fashion but couldn't tell how deep it allows you to go.

Basically I'm interested in using the One in a similar way as I'd use my Digitone for. That is to say that I play a pattern/sequence and then alter the timbre of a sound to explore what works and what doesn't, as part of the creative process of writing a full track.

Another question, is it possible to set a knob to control more than one setting? Like opening up the filter frequency for two Programs at the same time? Or is there some other workaround to achieve this?

You can assign any parameter you want to qlink on project mode.
Any parameter of synth, of fx, mixer, whatever you need.
At the moment there are no macros so you cannot assign more then one parameter to a qlink, but hopefully this feature is coming on next updates because Force already has it.
One thing you can do now is to route the output of different programs to the same subgroup, apply the filter to the subgroup and assign that filter to a qlink, so that filter applies to those different programs at the same time.
Same for any other fx and sends.

Thanks for clarifying this, that sounds amazing! Controlling an effect on a submix would get really close to what I want actually, though macros would be even nicer. The Digitone has the ability to define up to four modifiers per each track's mod wheel, which is really powerful.

It's gonna come.
Usually what they add on Force, sooner or later comes to Mpc.
So we will have macros.
Since you are used to Digitone, you will adapt to Mpc quite easily.
