It's me again lol :)

Hey everyone, I have a microphone question.

I purchased the Zoom H1N stereo mic and it works very well, I just turn it on and use the line out for live recording. I initially was going to get the Shure SM57 since it's a "real" mic. Should I actually be using a Non-stereo microphone?

You "should" be using the microphone that does what you require.

I have a simple Behringer dynamic mic that does 90% of what I need, and it isn't stereo. If I want samples to be panned, or affected afterwards then I do that in the Force. However, if you're trying to capture a sonic input that has a stereo field, and you don't want to lose that, a stereo mic setup is definitely the way to go.

(To be clear, I have a couple of other mics including a USB diaphragm mic, but the Behringer is the straightforward example here.)

Okay thank you Koekepan, I think I'll just leave it alone since it's easier this way.
