right place right time!

i manage a storage business and today an old guy asked where a thrift store drop box was so i asked what'cha got he said clothes,furniture,etc.
so i asked about any old vinyl he said yeah i do so i asked to see,and holy s#@t!!!, james brown,grant green,roy ayers,herbie hancock,lyn collins......
all originals great cond. and he gave them to me 3 crates full i have'nt even looked at all them.............REIGN :shock: :shock: :shock:

it just bring a tear to my eye whenever i hear that someone wants to get rid of records like that. what if they would have made it to the thrift store? then they'd get mistreated and discriminated against.

Nice one man but I wish stuff like that would happen to me, I wanna get some old funk and soul but its quite hard to get hold of n the U.K, I might just move to America so I can get better records lol.

i hear that. thrift shops are can have hidden treasures as well, value village and so forth. also checking the classifieds when someone is moving, ive lucked up on occassions, these people always seem to just wanna get rid of them to avoid the extra hassle. (?) i never under estimate the dollar bins also

Well...this one time...I woke up...and...there was a like a box of records on my doorstep with a note. And the note was like "Please take care of my records. I can't afford to keep them anymore and I wanted them to have a good home and I trust that you can provide that." That was the best morning of my life.
