my q-link knobs are starting to get loose and aren't as responsive as when my MPC X was new.
so i went to buy some nice looking solid aluminium potentiometer knobs on aliexpress. even though they seemed fine according to measurements, they don't really work. i think the shaft hole is too deep and not touching the rotary switches on the top.

does anybody know some new poti knobs that work? they have to be black aluminium and i don't wanna get the overpriced ones from mpcstuff.

here are the knobs that didn't work:

thanks for sharing. i see that the poti knob that you choose is also available in black. do you think it's too risky to get a black one due to the black coating? i don't know anything about electronics but metal on metal should be working right?

MPCstuff seems overpriced but they are a major part of MPC history.

If u want to see that legacy continue, you gotta pay a premium.
If u spend as much time on your machine as many of us do, its an investment like the MPC bible.

no offense, but mpcstuff really isnt that premium. premium is something like jazzcat and ghostinmpc do.
if they would selling switches and knobs for a reasonable price, i would absolutely buy me some, but they don't imo.
