Akai MPC Live - Random notes being triggered without user

Hi,

When I have a track playing I can hear and see the MPC playing pads I never recorded.

If I stop all tracks from playing it will still randomly play a note or two even though there is no sequence.

It happens in every new program I create.

I’m running MPC Firmware 2.9.1. This has happened on all previous versions.

Does anyone know what’s going on?

Got any midi stuff plugged in? Are you sending / receiving midi on both mpc and slave device(s)?

No midi cables connected to the MPC.

Just wondering if anyone knows what is going on?

It’s a big problem. If it happens while I'm recording it’s in all my recordings. At this point I wouldn’t be able to use the MPC live.

Bluetooth, WiFi or USB devices connected? Ableton Link active?

Try turning down the pad sensitivity

Call a exorcist, you may have ghost notes

I had this problem also and it turned out to be to sensitive pad issue. Preferences - hardware. I have threshold and sensitivity set to 3 (was 1) and no random notes anymore.
