Notes names

Would like to report, or to be sure about a strange (at least to me) way the note name nubers are displaied in MPC SW vs HW.
When on the soft, a D# is noted as a D# but on the HW it is referred to Eb. I found that a little bit confusing since I only used classical note convention as Do, Ré, Mi... Ré# (D#) is never used, Mib (Eb) is conventionally used instead.
2 quick questions:
- is it possible to have both HW and SW diplaying the same names?
- is there a workaround to have notes displayed in the classic way?

The black keys and a couple whites share frequencies. Accoustically the notes are identical, but depending on what *key* you are playing in they will either be flat or sharp. It's like an "audio illusion". Anyways if you select a diff scale in "pad perform" it will likely denote the correct one for what key you are in?

It doesn't baffle me at all. I definitly agree with you.
But it does not explain why, being in the same key, the note manes are displayed differently in MPC Software and MPC HW when used in controller mode.
But this is just a detail I was trying to understand. Apparently a bug in the symbiosis between SW & HW.

They've never had that consistency, still don't just within the hardware alone, with key detection only showing sharps, but other areas showing a mix of sharps and flats. I seriously doubt they'll ever introduce an option for classical naming but you can always send a feature request.
