Is the Mpc one being discontinued?

Hello I was planning to sell my mpc 2500 and buy an Mpc one in November but 2 dealerships have told me it’s now discontinued I am confused as it’s only 2 years old Has anyone heard this thanks Carlo

Who are these dealers? Do they not realise that even if it were discontinued, that's confidential info, not for public release? They risk losing their dealership contract over loose talk like that.

The MPC One is a big seller, very popular and they only just released that Retro edition. It's clearly not discontinued and there is an abundance of stock everywhere.

I found the MPC One for sale at several websites, I highly doubt it is discontinued. It's possible that the dealer is having a hard time getting new supplies, but that is a different problem.

yes the dealers told me I am in Uk this can’t be right as yes the retro has just come out maybe it’s the black and gold one

It's 18 months old at the most, I bought mine brand new from release April 2020, there were 3 and a bit years between Live and Live II

Who are these dealers spreading false informations? I want names, I wouldn't buy a damn thing in their shops. Or is it just because FOMO and they want you to buy now? Anyway people need to stop spreading these rumors. The MPC One (original) is widely available in Europe and USA and is not discontinued. Both the retro or the gold on the other hand are limited editions, so what your dealers say doesn't even make sense.

The black MPC One is in abundance of stock in the UK - you could have just bought one 20 minutes ago from PMT for DPD delivery tomorrow morning. You can still buy it from them for Friday delivery - or Andertons, Gak, Absolute Music etc etc.

I think you should all stop confusing shortages due to pandemic mess with discontinuing.

One is in full production and I guess it's the most selling Mpc.
You can get it anywhere on internet.

yes also I won’t have the money until November Bax music was one I always buy from them

Bax appear to have no MPCs at all, only an Akai Force and a B-stock MPC Live. I suspect they simply have supply problems, or are they claiming that all MPCs are now discontinued?

BTW, Bax are not based in the UK, I believe they operate from the Netherlands. I purchased a set of Roland V-Drums from them a few years back and it arrived with an EU plug and I had to contact the Dutch Roland web site to register the warranty. Other companies might not honour the warranty if it's EU stock sold to the UK. If you like to buy from the EU Thomann have the MPC One in stock, but it's more expensive than buying direct from the UK.

Anyway, I think it's clear from the Bax site that they have some kind of issue obtaining MPC stock, while every other stockist on the planet seems to be having no problems at all.

Bax is Dutch. Ordered a mpc one retro which would be delivered in 3 weeks, which became 8 weeks, which after 8 weeks became 15 to 25 weeks. And then another Dutch shop had plenty of stock and could deliver them next day. So I cancelled at Bax and got it from the other place.

And this wasnt the first time this happened to me when dealing with Bax, although it definitly is the most extreme example. Moral of the story. Bax is fine if they got shit in stock. Otherwise, look further.
