Why, after duplicating the track, samples in the old track stopped playing?
Another bug? Akai continues to surprise me :WTF:

What are you trying to achieve by having two identical tracks, playing the same program at the same time?

Anyway, it can sound like this if you try to play different hits in the same mute group, at the same time.. So you get short clicks instead of the full hit as sounds within the mute group try to cancel each other..

And so if you then copy that track, you also create a duplicate midi event that tries to compete with the original note..

It that is what is going on, the solution is to turn off the mute group for the sounds that clash..

Or, if the purpose for copying the track is to layer a different program in order to layer an entire drum kit, so that it plays on top of original.. Then you should only need to swap to/create that new program and you'll get the full sounds playing again.

I think that before I could duplicate a track and play various patterns with the same program inside one sequence.
When the sounds came on each other, they played louder but they did not cut off.
Then I created a few sequences and muted the unnecessary track.
Now it works when during the track duplication, I also duplicate the program.
Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe I'm already lost in this 2.10.

Maybe set the PAD to POLY in the Program?

You should duplicate the program, too. Imagine the program being your musician that has to play two identical sheets at the same time. You cant hit the same guitar string (or similar) twice. Have that played by two musicians (programs) and you should be good to go.

A couple users and I have talked about this before. It would seem to me as it’s a bug as this behavior didn’t exist in previous versions. Definitely annoying IMO, I’d rather have the old behavior back. I don’t like having to duplicate programs for similar tracks.

I've solved this problem by:

Make Track A -> Midi Track, Send To Track C
Make Track B -> Midi Track, Send To Track C
Make Track C -> Key Group/Plugin/..

Now you can mute Track A/B individually, and not have the notes cutting each other off or sounding choppy.

I believe that's AkaI intent. Instead of having duplicate tracks playing the same program you can have one track with the program and then have multiple other tracks send to it. Its a much cleaner workflow imo.

Agreed, that's how it worked previously, but it appears that there's some new bug... and if I've learned anything about MPCs, you sometimes need to experiment to figure out your own workarounds. Here's to hoping it is fixed in 2.10.1 :D

I just tried to Duplicate it. Im not experiencing the sounds cutting out. Its gotta be somethin in your Program setting.

Because i use this process to break up my Drums after I record a Drum Pattern on One Pad.

Copy One Pad to another Pad then Erase the Notes accordingly.
