Unchopped Sample Play Start and Stop

I have an unchopped 8 bar sample on a pad. Ive recorded that sample. if I hit stop part way through the sample and then hit play, I will not be able to hear the sample until the play head starts over.

is there a way I can set my mpc up so that I can stop and play the sample at any time in a sequence. I hope my explanation was clear enough. thanks for the help.

Resample it as audio track?

Can't you just go to Audio tab > Edit Audio and then Browse for that sample? Sit it on an audio track?

I figured out how to bounce to audio track. Thank you. Ive never recorded using audio tracks with MIDI tracks (Normally MIDI only). Will the audio track function the same way as the MIDI track when building a full song using track mutes. Thanks

I usually record my synths in on audio tracks. You only get 8 tracks though... And yeah, if I understand your question correctly it functions basically the same way.

If you go to Main, then select the Audio tab, then select Edit Audio... you'll see a 'Browse Samples' box. Click on that and you can choose from the samples you've got in your project and drop it on to that track. It's worth getting familiar with the controls before you try it in a project.

If you want to record audio straight in, make sure you've got the record button armed and set to Auto on the Track. Also, use REC to start recording, not Over Dub.
