Akai MPC Live 2 Retro battery issue

Worth noting that, while you'd see 5-6 hrs. w/ the original LIVE, using the Live II's speaker may drop your battery life considerably. Not saying it's normal, but let's say 5 hrs. (300 min.) on the Live 1.

50% = 150 min.
25% = 75 min.
12.5% = 37.5 min.

So 15% of battery life should net you maybe 45 min.

But if you're Driving that speaker, loudly, it's realistic to expect no more than 20-25 min. for 15% of your full battery life.

Hypothetically. I'm not giving you my current results, here.

Out of interest what didn't you like about the pad sensitivity?

Signed up just to chime in on this thread, as I've had some bad luck with the Live II Retro so far. My first unit had an issue out of the box with distortion from the left speaker. The replacement has been running well under light use, but I decided to test the battery this week since I'm nearing the end of my return period. After 6 rundowns, I discovered it maxes out around 4h15m at idle with the same settings as others in this thread (night mode/1 minute dimming/WiFi & BT off). Under use, it hovers in the 3.5-4 hour range, which seems pretty low compared to others.

This one is probably getting returned as I don't want to start off with a new unit that underperforms, but now I'm also wondering if I'm just incredibly unlucky or if there's a batch of Live II Retros with inferior parts floating around...
