Repair Shops, Recommended..

Howdy, everybody.

I'm looking to repair my MPCX, which has 2 internal boards that have blown.
I've been getting quotes from authorized repair shops, and they're generally quoting around the $1200-1300 mark - and that's not including tracking/insurance & shipping.
I was wondering if I should instead send the unit off to a non-Akai repair outlet, as I've heard getting things repaired through authorized people can get very expensive.

Any input would be amazing.

From Experience....Akai is gonna wanna sell the WHOLE CIRCUIT BOARD Set. With All the Boards attached together. And Thats providing they are available with all the IC Shortage in Supplies. Hopefully it didn't Damage the Carrier PCB, where the EPROMS are Located.

If its getting up in the $1400-1500 range, I'd start lookin at Used Xs on the market.
