MPC with the best pads

Someone who has had multiple MPC's please chime in; I have owned MPC Live, MPC1000 & 2000xl se, and I can state that the 2000xl se has the best pads by far.

The thin pads was always felt better better to the touch and looked better; but they were also more responsive, and that whole break the pads in was not really necessary.

This whole fat pads trend was a bad idea imo; but akia hoped on the trend and made fat pads the norm.

can someone advise if all pre 2000xl MPC's have the same pads as the 2000xl se?

Personally I like the MPC Live pads the best out of the MPCs I have owned. I did like the 1k, but always found the 500 to be a bit too insensitive. Might have been due to the age, or subtle differences in the sensors... not sure.

Guess it just comes down to personal preference though *shrug*

The 2000xl was a beast in terms of pads!

I hate the fat pads! unnecessarily thick and it takes time to break in.
