That works but he is looking to remove individual layers on the assign samples page as you are dragging and dropping them on. You can hit shift and drag a sample to the same pad and it will add it is a layer, but there is no way to remove that layer after without clearing the whole pad.

Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but that misses the point of what we were talking about. We know we can do this in the program edit. What we are saying is that it would be nice to be able to do this in the assign sample page from the browser. This gives you the visual layout of all your pads in one page and you can drag and drop the samples seeing a visual representation of all your pads with all layers, program edit does not do this.

Yes you could use the browser assign page to add your samples and layers, and if you want to remove a layer then enter program edit and remove the layer there. What would be a nice UI update would be the ability to remove an individual layer right from the browser assign. Not a huge a deal, but it would be an improvement to this UI page.

I didn't even know you couldn't do this until he mentioned he was looking to do it, but once I looked at it I understood what he was talking about and why.
