EB16/EQING Question

I was wondering what am i goingto have to get to EQ my samples/drums like sweep style or whatever its called.. w/ the his, lows, and mids..

I am not sure what i need to achieve this because in fl studio, you can eq them in the fx channel.

but now i have an mpc and i dont have any upgrades except the memory to 32mb.

please help me out

The eb16 is good for pre-eq but not deep eq'ing. It's limited but it's better to have than nothing. If you have a software eq use that and save the money for something else.

i throw my samples in fl studio, chop them there, then i put em in my mpc to do the drums and sequencing on.. is pre eqing have the same effect on eqing afterwards or something..?

EQ your samples before the you load them into the MPC if you don't have an EB16.

If you have the EB16 you can eq just a touch on the mpc. but it's called "filter" instead of eq.

I try to filter a little bit inside my 2kxl. I do my major eq'ing in Sound Forge.

^ lampdog, do you throw it in sound forge after you made the beat?

if so how do you get your shit from the mpc to sound forge? thanks

All my samples are in my PC.

I transfer via zip disk. I have internal 250 zip drive in my pc and 2kxl.

I sometimes use eq on pc w/ samples before I load into my 2kxl.

I sometimes use the filter on mpc eb16.
