Is Clipping Always Bad?

the reason why it sounded bad was because you used the same limiter with the same settings twice. U have to be very careful as it is easy to destroy a track with just 1 limiter.

That's how it was for me until I learned what was what, the difference between brickwalls, exciters, compressors and such. I was destroying everything I touched.

yeah its funny when you mispress something and end up with a weird result....that undo/redo is far too close in soundforge- i guessed that was what was happening to the sound and guess that made me never consider using two different limiters./.
