MPC 3000 and SCSI Zip 250

Why won't my P.C., which is running XP, recognize my MPC 3000 formatted Zip 250 disk? When I put a disk into the P.C. zip, it says (Please insert disk).

Can anyone help?

XP is a peice of crap. While all other Microshaft operating systems will mount an MPC3000 formatted disk, XP does not. I know exactly why, but beyond explanation here.

I have XP here but only use it for testing software I am working on that will get around this issue you mention. Otherwise, I do not like using it.
