Why Does Importing A Midi File Force A New Sequence?

Hey Gang,

Why Does Importing A Midi File Force A New Sequence? Or what am I doing wrong?

Because that's just how Akai have implemented it. No one likes it, but akai don't seem to be in any hurry to change it. A workaround is to import it as a sequence and then use 'copy events' to copy the data to a track in the original sequence.
