Compatibility MPC 2.10 update and mac os 10.12(siera)

Hi there,
I did some research but couldn't find clear answer.

I am on Mac os 10.12.
My MPC software is version 2.6 and the MPC hardware firmware is also 2.6.
I would like to know if version 2.10 of the MPC software and version 2.10 of the firmware of MPC hardware is compatible with Mac os 10.12?

I don't want to install a mac os upgrade beyond 10.12.

Is anyone with the same configuration as me and installed version 2.10 of the MPC software and hardware firmware?

MPC Software 2.10 is not compatible with Sierra, nor High Sierra. Mojave is the earliest MacOS currently supported.

As for the firmware, you can of course install 2.10 into your MPC, your computer OS is irrelevant. It only becomes relevant when you bring your computer into the equation, i.e. when opening standalone projects into the MPC Software (either working in the application directly, or via controller mode). In which case you do need to be running the same version across both environments as MPC 2.10 projects are not backwards compatible, plus the controller mode drivers may/will no longer work.

Basically unless you are happy working 100% exclusively in standalone mode, it's time to upgrade your Mac.

i tried installing version 2.10 on OS10.12 (sierra) and it installs normally. Maybe in the long run it doesn't work,
I just tried to install, I didn't try to work with this version.
You are right, the best would be to update my OS, but I have a macbook pro mid-2012 and I'm afraid that upgrading to Mojave will slow down my mac ...
what do you think ?

We have two 13" macbook pro 2012 and a 2012 mac mini (similar internals), all running either mojave or catalina, no problems at all.

My Late 2012 Mac Mini (2.3 GHz quad core with 16 GB RAM) is running the latest OS it can (Catalina 10.15.7 IIRC) with both the MPC Software and MPC X firmware running the latest 2.10.1 version. No issues as far as I can see. I installed an SSD in it back in 2019 when the original HD was starting to get slow loading and opening programs, etc.
