Hello good people,

I am hoping someone can help me with a strange issue I experiencing with my MPC One. The device is fairly new and I am new to it. I am having trouble loading sounds to a track from the browse menu that are not a sample or drum kit. The sound sometimes plays a preview on the first try, but then it either plays a garbled noise, or does nothing at all. When I tap "load" a screen flashes as if its normally loading but disappears quickly, and nothing is really loaded.

At first, I thought my SD card was formatted incorrectly or was too slow on the read/write, so I got a new one that is recommended for MPC One and I made sure it was formatted to exFAT and I also re-downloaded the f9 Instrument expansion. No dice.

I noticed this issue also is in place with AIR instruments. I also just updated to the latest firmware, that didn't solve it either. I'm wondering if the files are corrupt, and if so, how to fix them? Has anyone experienced this before, would you please give me some advice? TIA for your time.

Thanks for your replies!

I'm in standalone mode

There is definitely something going on here that is awry, with the intermittent preview sound, or garbled sound, or no sound at all in the browse menu. I can't assign any AIR sounds or F9 expansions. I guess I am going to have to figure out how to get all my projects off the machine and onto the SD card and I'll try formatting/resetting it in case we are dealing with an internal HD bad sector or something

Hello - I'm trying to understand your vernacular so maybe you can help me. When you say you "can't assign any AIR sounds", what are you talking about? AIR is software division of InMusic that makes the plugins and effects for the MPC. Also, you don't "assign" an Expansion. An Expansion (such as the F9) is a collection of Keygroups, Drum Programs, samples, and sometimes MIDI files and Projects (in F9's case, it's just Keygroups and their accompanying samples). So are you saying simply - you can't load any Keygroups or samples from the F9 Expansion? Or are you saying you can't load the F9 Expansion onto your SD Card (that the MPC is supposed to be reading)?

So... I re-installed the expansions from the PC software to the SD card, and I also turned off Warp in the audition settings. I can not hear the previews from the browse menu fine and also assign the instrument to a track!

BUT - when I start playing the pads now what I get is the same garbled sound when hitting any pad... UGH

It happens when I use the bassline or tubesynth, etc plugins as well
