Replace same sound

When i go to save all programs what does it mean on the XL when it says replace same sound. I didnt see that in the manual. Thanks.

Also what is the latest version now on the 2000XL, i believe mine says may 2001. will it help any if i updated.

Means:

Do you want the MPC to resave all the sounds you already have in addition to any new sounds you may have added and are saving??

You only need to replace same sounds if you change the sound in the trim screen. If you just change things in the program then you don't need to resave the sounds.

For the OS, most people haven't noticed a difference between 1.14 and 1.2. The new one was make the new XL with the IDE card reader.

Open xl manual, ctrl + F (search)
type "replace same sounds"
