MPC ONE: exporting MIDI programs and keeping pad mapping

Hi,

I need to know if I can import a MIDI program that I saved, and keeping the pad mapping.

The reason why is because I mapped the Pads to trigger an external drum machine, for example I assigned Pad 1 to note C2 (bass drum sound) and saved the program.

So far, so good.

But if now I import the MIDI program in a new project, the pad mapping is lost. So I have to manually re-assign all the pads to the correct MIDI note, which can be time consuming.

If I save the project as template the pad mapping is loaded correctly, but loading a template means that I have to begin from scratch (am I wrong ?).

My solution for now is to create a "Hardware template" which contains all the MIDI programs customized for my hardware and load it at the beginning so I can trigger the machines as I want.

But this is kinda limiting, let's say that I will buy a new hardware instrument.
In an existing project I have to map all the Pads, and also I have to update my main "Hardware template" for new future projects. So basically, doing the same thing twice.

Do you have any suggestions or is this the only solution ?

Try turning off the Pad Perform Mode. This helped me regarding imported midi programs!

I tested it, the midi program seems to keep the mapping(EDIT PAD NOTE MAP). check the PAD PERFORM is set to OFF.

Actually turning off the Pad Perform works, I was confused by the fact that loading a new program did not set properly the "MIDI PORT" as MPC.
