Right, but in the above video there was no example of creating a keygroup from multiple files(C1,C2, C3...)

Yes from the video it does seem to make a bunch of single sample keygroup programs from each sample it finds in the folder, (minus whatever name filters you have added), rather than creating a single instrument from multiple samples.

I guess the advantage over the 'native' manual method is that this can batch create hundreds of keygroups very quickly and generate the previews etc. If single sample instruments are your thing, this is going to be a useful app.

Yes, just a single one shot for now.

Yea this was my preferred method before. I had a blank 808 keygroup and blank "instrument" keygroup. The workflow just isn't as nice as something like the Maschine. It's just easier having them all created a head of time.

I wanna know if it will Pitch Shift the Octaves in the Keygroups automatically

Instrumap looks interesting, especially if he adds the pitch detection option he mentions in his roadmap.

I've added both these apps to my MPC applications page on MPC-tutor.com.

One thing I wish both Instrumap as well as this new MPC keygroup Creator app did is to automatically create previews of the Keygroup made. I realize it would require some sort of sequencer data to trigger though, so I do understand why that may be problematic.

Sorry, not sure what you mean here. Do you mean stretch the sample every octave?

MPC Keygroup Creator generates previews and I'm working on multisample support that will use the C3 as the preview. Eventually might be possible to generate a sequence. Might look into it.

Yes...bcz by just assigning A Sample across the Keyboard will result in Different Sample Speeds. Pitch Shifting will pitch each sample and keep the Same Sample Speed across the Octaves

Pitch shifting isn't required for building a standard instrument, it doesn't matter if the note lengths vary. If you were using a sample with obvious tempo elements within it, like a drum break, vocal loop, then pitch shifting is not going to sound remotely usable on most of the notes anyway. Regardless you could add this manually if you really needed it via Program Edit, but it's a bit of an edge case.

And if you've just sampled a note with modulation or tempo sync'd FX baked into it, it's always better to just go back and re-record without the modulation, or if unavoidable, sample chromatically, so no tuning required in the instrument.
