the default track, and default sequence function

whats the deal with the default track function?? I thought it was used for, using all track order data as default for other sequences, but when i go to a new sequence, i have to select all tracks all over again.

How can i use the settings of a track in a sequence, as a default for all other sequences so i dont have to mess around with the track order all the time??

first create a sequence with all tracks in the order you wish.

When done go to the sequence field
press window
press F2 > default

all newly created sequences will have the track order of this default sequence

If you want to initialize the default sequence press shift + default in the sequence window.

yeah i tried that, but somehow there is no reaction when i press the default button (with or without shift, nothing happens)

Weird, i deleted everything started all over agaiin, and now it does work,,,

Now my life is a little bit easier from now on

You wont get a message for setting up default sequences or tracks.

following the above steps exactly one by one should do the trick.

for default track:
go to the track field
press window
press shift + default
all unused tracks will have the same track settings as the default track
...

it all works fine here
