Brand new MPC X, can’t get a signal from input 3/4

yo what’s up I got a new X. I’m pretty sure I get how it all works but I can’t seem to get an input signal on 3/4. Tried setting it up via sampler page and audio tracks. Nothing.
-record is armed
-3/4 gain knob is turned up
-set the input to the right one

Can sample fine from input 1/2 getting a good signal. Same on the front inputs.

One other thing I’ve noticed is that the top jack for 3/4 doesn’t slide straight in all the time like the others. It’s like it gets stuck on something half way. You can put a little pressure and it goes in but I just thought it seemed weird

Oh shit I just spun it round and realised there’s a line/phono switch I couldn’t see from where I was standing under the ground peg duh. Okay so now that’s sorted any thoughts on the resistance I’m getting plugging the jack in ? I think I can put it down to being a brand new device but it really does get kinda stuck half way. Any cause for concern?

Not input, but output. 3 and 4 are outputs.

Thanks for the response man definitely got a signal input from 3/4 when I found the phono/line switch we are both talking about the X right?
