I recently purchased the MPC X. It works great when I connect it to my laptop. I have a separate SSD AND separate SD card that I loaded with EVERY MPC related file that I have on my laptop. But I noticed that when I try to use the MPC X in standalone, it only recognizes my expansion packs and not any other VSTs or plug-ins outside of the few that came with the MPC 2.0 update.
For instance, if I load and .xpj project file, it tells which plug-ins/VSTs that it's not recognizing and needless to say, doesn't play them. Even VSTs that came with the software when I bought my old Renaissance (The Bank, The Noise, The Wub) only seem to work when I'm connected to my laptop.
Is the MPC X incapable of running VSTs and plug-ins while in standalone? Or am I missing something in the way of loading the files into the system?

LMAO

Yeah, you're missing something, son.  No but really - MPC (and Force) in standalone can only run its included standalone plugins. That would be Hype synth, Drum Synth, Tube synth, Keys, Bassline, Solina Strings and Mellotron, etc..
