Mixer/turntable question

I have my turntable hooked directly into the record in on my mpc. I wanted to hook it up to my mixer so I can adjust some of the freq's., but I am a little puzzled on where it would hook up to. The only "out" the mixer has is "headphones, monitors, rec out". I tried using the record out to connect it back to the mpc but it has a lot of bad feedback. What is everyone else doing? Hooking it straight up to their mpc's? thanks.

Here is the mixer that I'm using.

I hook my turntable up to a lil 2 channel dj mixer then out to my sampler. When you had it hooked str8 to the mp was it working for you or was it low in sound? What type of turntable do you have? Does it have a built in amp?

Hmmm? Try connecting to your monitor out, then if you have monitor volume/level fader you can use this to adjust rec level, just a thought, perhaps your rec out has its own preamp? then the MPC wouldnt like it. I have mine coming straight off a main output from my mixer, works fine.

I tried that, the mpc didn't like it. I had the levels pretty low but it was showing a strong signal on the mpc. Volume was also low. Not sure whats going on here. Why wouldn't this mixer have a non powered audio out?

Only other thing I can think of is ya main volume on ya mpc, whenever recording make sure thats right down. Ya mixer looks quite new so surprised if faulty ? Strange one Oh, just another thought but ya havent got ya TTX in a line i/p ? If so needs to be in a phono. Not sure on Numarks but Technics need to be in Phono, not line/cd, something to do with much higher signal out ya record deck i think

That thing ain't got no main outs huh? If I'm reading the pic right, your ST Outs should be your mains. If not, try from your control room outs. So, in other words, plug your TT or TT Mixer into line 1, and run a stereo out from your ST Outs to your MPC. How do you like the mixer otherwise? Low-noise?

That's actually how I had it hooked up. Weird. Guess I'll have to hook it directly to the mpc record in's. Besides this problem the mixer is great. Haven't notice really any excessive noise.

connect the outs of your turntable to the rca jacks in, and then route the rec out rca to the mpc, you should have a switch on your mixer to switch this function, i aplogize in advance if its wrong set up.
