Using multiple plugin sounds

Hello Guys,
So Im new the MPC DAW workspace,
I have been creating track for the last 2weeks, and I cant seem to add additional instruments to my tracks. So once I create my drums & bassline patterns. I go back to the same plug-in I used for the bassline and try to add strings the new sound plays the melody of my previously laid bassline.
I don’t kno what the problem is…. Do I have to change the midi channel? Please help me

You must assign each unique plugin or patch to its own unique plugin program:

Select a blank track
Change to plugin type
On the plugin program row, press the + button to create a new plugin program
Assign your plugin and patch to this track.

So if you intend to use 5 different plugin patches in your project, you'll need to create 5 plugin programs, one for each patch/preset

Akai should really implement a program change automation for different sequences, right now midi mapping of controllers like the Novation launch control XL for live performance is a real mess.
