Hey guys a few quick tips and tricks I've copied over from our FB Hakai Group Page here:
Tip 1 ) Hold down PLAY START and hit PAD 1 – 8 To launch row 1-8
Tip 2 ) To use the Mute/Solo/Rec Arm buttons on your tracks, first push one of these 3 buttons and after that hold down PLAY START and hit PAD 9 – 16 to Mute/Solo/Rec Arm row 1-8 (X users can simply use the numerical buttons 1-8)
Tip 3 ) Find the Note mode button on the MPC, and hold it down to see extra options (The options will be different for different type of tracks). Also try shift + the note button to change Banks (For X users that have my settings it’s the Program button). Don’t ask me why but Akai made pad bank A on the MPC to correspondent to pad bank C on the Force. Don’t worry you can copy the pads in your existing kits from Bank A to C in the grid editor by selecting the edit option and after that the ‘Copy Pads’option.
Tip 4 ) Find the launch mode button on the MPC, it’s mapped to the 16 level button and hold it down to see extra options. Also try shift + Launch mode to see other options. (For X users that have my settings it’s the project button).
Tip 5 ) Find the knobs button on the MPC, it is mapped to the Qlink select button and hold it down to see different modes for the Q links. (For X users that have my settings it’s the Screen Control). Go to the Macros menu to customize Project 1 and Project 2.
Tip 6 ) To record to the clips make sure that you’ve armed the track (Rec Arm) and hit record and after that Play.
Tip 7 ) To record to the arranger either to push shift + record or hold down the record button for 2 seconds and select record to arranger. (you can also select record to clip by doing this).
Tip 8 ) You can change the record settings by holding down record and choose the settings options. I prefer to enable write automation while recording.
Tip 9) when recording your clips to the Arranger don’t forget to set the TC to the smallest setting. I prefer 1/64. Otherwise your 1/64 notes might be quantized to 1/16.
Tip 10 ) For Note repeat/Latch stuff you have to find the arpeggiator button on your MPC its shift + Note repeat. (For X users that have my settings it’s shift + the sampler button).
Tip 11 ) As you might know the MPC only has 16 pads while the Force Matrix has 64. Don’t worry you can switch between quadrants by doing this: press Bank A 2 times for Quadrant 1, press Bank B 2 times for Quadrant 2, press Bank C 2 times for Quadrant 3, press Bank D 2 times for Quadrant 4. It might sound confusing but you will get the hang of hit when you fill the entire matrix with clips and you give it a try. This has to be done in Launch Mode.
Tip 12 ) Go to the mixer and hit the master button (on the MPC it’s mapped to the Next Seq button) to see the return busses and the Master busses. You can swipe left to see the Submix busses. (For the X users that have my settings it’s the F-Key button).
Tip 13 ) MPC Live users: FORCE mode probably won't work when you're in battery mode. Why? Because the Force doesn't have an Battery LOL!!
Tip 14 ) The MPC X has 8 outputs and the Force only has 4. The 4 Extra outputs the X won't work.

Also it’s a good thing to read the Force manual. It will open up a new world to you and you might wish Akai brought this to our MPC’s a long time ago.

before going back into standalone mode on my mpc x. I right clicked my USB pen drive icon and ejected it so my laptop could no longer see it but was still left in the back of my mpc.
