Mpc is done?

Do you guys have some infos about future updates for Mpc line or we have to consider it done?
There is a lot of silence lately, it seems that Akai could be preparing new lines or maybe I am wrong?
Anyway, hopefully they will at least fix the bug that makes impossible to assign a qlink to a subgroup insert on project mode and hopefully they will go back to the usual track mute without note off.
I hope so.

Akai released a major update to the MPC (2.10) in July with support for audio interfaces, more FX, new standalone synths, etc, followed by the 2.10.1 release 8 weeks ago. I don't see how this can be considered silence. Considering their track history in recent years I think it's fair to assume they have more updates on the way and no doubt more MPC models eventually.

Patience Is Key

As mentioned by MPC-Tutor, there was a major update less than 6 months ago and an additional product was released (MPC Studio MK2) which does seem like they are still involved in the MPC "ecosystem".

I am not a fan of posting rants, but i have a strong urge to vent it out... we're in a time of high expectations of convenience and constant new features. People get stuck on CPU/Mem usage, comment that we MUST have 3rd party VST support in standalone, arranger etc instead of diving in and learning to actually work with the machine as itis with all its quirks - sometimes it's annoying, but it's a part of the life with any piece of gear.
In their time EMU SP12 and 1200, MPC60 and 3k were much less powerful, much less affordable (even considering the MPC X), had no software support or updates as we have now and still these are icons. And i'm not saying Akai/InMusic is saint, there are some QA problems and infuriating bugs, but still part of working with a piece of gear is knowing how to navigate around parts that makes one want to resort to murder.

Going back to the subject even if Akai shuts down or kills MPC product line i doubt MPC will die - there are too many people who like to use it (regardless of model).

Yeah but usually updates were after 3/4 months, this is why I was asking.
I don't have any problem if updates were over, now my Mpc is perfect for my needs, beside those 2 bugs I wrote in the post.
I was just asking if anyone had official infos about that.

No one here has ever had any 'official' info from Akai. Akai doesnt tell anybody anything until it comes out. 6 months between releases is nothing. No one here knows what kind of work it takes to do anything to the MPC code, no one here knows anything about it other then how to hack the bootloader and load the ForceOS on an MPC. For all we know Akai has been working on something this entire time, when its ready, they'll release it and we'll all find out about it when it shows up on their website.

Right these speculation threads are rather pointless. AKAI OS release schedule isn't public and never was.

For sure they made a great job, now Mpc is very mature and beside a couple of minor bugs, it works like a charm.
I didn't have any crash or malfunctions in a year, all is faster and responsive and well organized.
I am just curious about the way Akai will improve an already improved Mpc.
