Hi folks,
When doing house and garage production, i often need to be able to play a chord by just hitting one key on my midi controller, or alternatively on an MPC pad.
So what i mean is, i would just hit C3, but it will play a C minor 7 chord.
This is useful because you can play in a chord live more percussively.
I know i could just play the chord, then quantize it, but this gives a different vibe when you're producing.
And of course i could also just sample the chord then play that sample. But this will sound different when transposing the chord, unless you multisample it. And doesn't give the option of messing around with different chords.
But is there any way to do this without the quantize or sample method?
It's something that's quite easy to set up in a DAW with a midi plugin!
Thanks!
