Hey guys

While reading up on things regarding the MPC One, I found an article about John Mayer saying he records his guitar on his MPC X for most of his studio work. I saw his set up and he had a Fractal in the kit as well and was getting some extremely good results with the kit.

Wondering if any of you record guitar into your MPC, and if so, what are you using for a DI box? I'm going to get more familiar with how to get the most out of the kit I explained above. Also will have a Korg Monologue for analog bass lines/drums.

I use a Helix Stomp XL into my MPC Live 2 for my bass (via a little Mackie mixer that sums all my external gear with output from the Mackie into the MPC line ins for recording). Works great.

i'm a very very n00b guitar wise, but i simply mic the amp (a laney lc15r combo), give it some gain on my mixing desk then record into the mpc. a bit more noisy of course but retains the sound of a true tube amp, which i like very much

Nice!!! I was debating a Helix back when I wanted to upgrade my Fractal unit but I just can't part with it. The Ultras are only like $400 or so now used and I could send you some tips about it if ya ever wanna get into the fractal community.

I'm a bit worried that my MPC One doesn't have the amount of input and output needed for guitar work. Everyone i see that uses an MPC with a guitar has a more flagship model than the One. X, Live II, etc

Wow cool that's a nice lil rig! Do you have the MPC One? Or a flagship?
