Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

can a usb zip 100 drive be used to transfer samples to my mpc2000xl zip. reason i ask is my mpc doesnt seem to recognise the disk. yet my old serial zip 100 worked fine. if not i have a problem. can anybody help.

Are saying that you have a Zip on your MPC,
and you want to use a USB Zip on your computer,
and then transfer the disk from the USB Zip into the MPC?
If so... yes you can. It would be like your internal Zip on your computer. Nothing will change in the data transfer to disk.

Make sure you format the Zip in computer as FAT.

nice one thats done the trick. stupid question - once formatted in the mpc the computers zip drive doesnt recognise them. how do you format them back?

Get Another Zip and then Format only in the PC ....................

It's Faster and Cross Compatible


Then Load The MPC Formated ZIP Sounds Into Ur MPC ......


Take the MPC Fomat ZIP out.................Put the PC Format ZIP in......


And Save the Sounds 2 That (PC)ZIP as Wav or Snd is U Wish...............

Take The MPC formated Zip and Erase n Format on the PC ..............


And UR DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use SCSI Harddrive for Storage 8) and ZIP for Transferin' Samples from Computer To MPC. Works everytime :wink:
