Support and discussion for all of Akai’s modern standalone MPCs including the MPC X / X SE, MPC Live 1, 2 & 3, MPC One / One+, MPC Key 37/61.

It's been 6 months since any major updates aside from a minor fix/update in September. Does anyone know if Akai is planning on continuing to support their product? Seeing the 21 pages full of 2.10 bug reports makes me hope for some quality of life updates. No need for new synths or any big things, but the ability to configure the hardware buttons would be REALLY nice. :worthy:

Just wait until the release of the Mpc keyboard version.
It will be released with new update.

I see no reason to think Akai are going to suddenly drop their most successful line of products (ever?), after all these years continually developing the current ecosystem and MPCs like the MPC One literally flying out of the stores. 1 or 2 major updates a year is still more than most samplers and grooveboxes. How often do people expect Akai to release a major update? It's not the norm to be putting big updates out every few weeks, these things take time to develop.

We've just had the new MPC Studio release, and it's also clear from the various leaks that we the MPC Key 61 joining the current line up at some point.

Seems to be an incredibly active ecosystem to me.

Back in the day, you'd get the initial 1.0 release, then a couple of minor bug fix releases and then that particular MPC model would get discontinued and the only way to get new features would be to buy the new MPC model!

It would be nice if they fix the bugs soon though

I agree, maybe I should have phrased myself more clearly. I specifically don't feel the need for a big update (personally) but rather a focus on bug fixes, stability improvements and maybe a few quality of life improvements like assignable button commands (remap the useless + and - buttons to something like bar skips or active Program switch or octave shifts; shortcuts for track mute and solo, etc).

More features, more updates, more polyphony, more mod matrix, and of course.................. more, "Your MPC Recovered from an internal error" :smoker:

Nobody here knows that information and those who know aren't even allowed to tell you. What's the point of that thread? There is already multiple threads about future updates and requests.

It happens whenever it happens. Akai doesn't owe anybody anything more at this point and we're lucky they seem to love this ecosystem more than the previous gens. Still makes me laugh, folks think 'bug fixes' are trivial and should be out in five minutes after release. You guys have no idea what goes on behind the scenes where the code is concerned, and sorry but despite what Akai claims, there are no Akai reps here. There is no 'official' information here. This is a user forum run by users who have no clue what Akai is doing and Akai doesn't have some magic bat phone to call up MPC Tutor and give him the goods on what's coming.

Sometimes you put yourself as you were on a upper level, well, that's not nice.
This is a user forum and everyone has something to say, that's it.
You are at the same level of the others.
Easy.
Nobody is asking official infos to you, it's just a debate on a user forum.

This is such an angry forum. Sorry for posting such an unnecessary thread.

Never mind.
Some people think they are better and they know things but they don't wanna talk.
The new update will come out when the Mpc keyboard version will be released.
Maybe quite soon.
And hopefully it will have the arranger and disk streaming.
Not sure about bug fixes though.
