I sampled the "Soulsides" beat (back in 93) from Art Farmer that Kool G. Rap and I still think the way I freaked it on my Yamaha 4 track sounded better than his. I also sampled the beat Alchemist used for the Mobb/G. Rap collabo from Murda Musik way before he touched it. I thought it was boring after the first few months and didn't like it. But if anything, it shows you that you are doing something right if "big name" producers have the same beat idea as you.

^^^^yeah.

Keep in mind, if you chop it..........sometimes that wont do it, because people will think you chopped it because you knew it was used........and whoever ends up using it the same time you did, but they looped it instead, most people will like the looped version better and its easier to do.

So you gotta make sure that if you are choppin a dope loop or sample, to make sure you do a good **** job.
