How to save and delete autosampled samples?

My projects are getting bogged down with autosampled samples.

I would like to export the samples and save them in a folder on the card, then delete the samples. How is this done?

This will allow me to take up less project memory - and waste less time saving them.

Just save your autosampled program on your card by pushing the pencil icon at the program and push save program..

Any program in your project will always have the samples in it. These are copies of the samples from where you save the program.

It's inefficient storage wise, but does always give you failsafes for your programs.

Coming from Ensoniq land, it was confusing to me, at first, that the projects weren't just referencing your instruments from another folder. There were uses for this, where you could edit one instrument and it would ripple across all other projects using that...but hey, I guess it's old school mentality.

Save the program as already mentioned, then to clean up the project, you delete the program you just saved, and do a purge of all unused samples.. Pretty sure you do this from the same screen that you go to save the entire project.. Think there's a "purge" option somewhere in the list along with "save as"

Just take care to not mistakingly hit ALL, instead of UNUSED.. which I've done when I've been a bit to fast and reckless in my menu hopping.

But this will remove all sounds not used in any program.

As for cleaning up the programs themselves if you find the need, you'll have to do that manually for the sounds you don't want to include, by deleting them from the pads they are assigned to..

This places them in the "unused" pool and will be removed with the purge, unless they still exist in some other program.
