How can I when I save on the 4k also save the modules sounds? When I turn on again the 4k, the channels are the only thing that come up, making me have to look for the modules sounds that I was using. Is there someway that I can save modules sounds along with it's channels on the 4k? did I say that right?

When you save, save the following into a folder.

o "All Programs and Sounds"
o "All Multi's"
o "All Songs and Sequences"

That will ensure that everything is nice and safe. I think we are still waiting for the PRJ file type that encompasses all 3 of these into one easily locatable (and loadable) file - but alas, AKAI are taking their sweet time as per usual)

All I do when saving a song is to create a new folder and then use "SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY" and it saves it all. But before this I use AK.SYS and the "PURGE UNUSED ITEMS" feature so it empties the ram of unused programs and samples.

I did what yall said and the sounds didnt save all the way. Again only the tracks and channels, I turn off the module and the 4k didnt play anything. I dont know I guess what yall said doesnt work, does it work for yall? I'm not saying I would but what if I was to turn off the module and the sounds were there when I saved them on the 4k. Thats what I trying to do.

Are you reffering to an outboard synthesiser, or the interal sampling on the MPC4ooo?

I dont think you can save the settings for your external sound modules on the mpc. Unless it can be done through some sysex dump or something but I dont know a whole lot about that stuff, someone on here should be able to answer this really...

For the time beeing just write down what sounds you use on the modules, not THAT much work is it?

In order for your MPC to play the sounds from your module in the same order that you recorded them, is that you have to save your work on the module as well as the mpc. For example; After completing your project save your multi program and sequence on your MPC. Then save the sounds you use on your MP-7(there should be a performance mode of some sort on you MP-7) So in actuality your sounds will always be on the MP-7 (unless you sampled from it unto the MPC.) So the next time your ready to work on that project, you'll load up your files on the MPC, then your files on the MP-7. Press play on your MPC and it should be in sync with each other.

Note: You should save everything withing that project with the same name.
Example; Hot beat Sequence, Hotbeat multi, and Hotbeat performace on your MP-7(may not be called performance but you get the Idea.)
