I am currently learning MPC with the "MCP Bible" and I am very disappointed, as I just figured out, that audio tracks neither appear in the "Track Mutes" - screen, nor have a "List Edit", e.g. for mute/unmute events like other track-types offer.

As I am creating most of my tracks with external gear, most of my tracks are audio tracks!

So, when it comes to "Song building/arranging sequences" and the ability of muting tracks becomes important - audio tracks just can't be as easely muted as other tracks - WHY IS THAT?

Is there a way to get around it? How other users handel this?

Right now it seams to me that I should sell my MPC again - just because of that - and turn back to my DAW. Very disappionting.

Or am I overlooking something?

Once you're done editing audio tracks, bounce them separately and use audio clip track which can be easily muted and edited.

Yes it's disappointing but this forum isn't run by AKAI, here is the link where you can go complain to AKAI:

The clip programs can also be disappointing at times. Are you able to automate pad clip mutes smoothly ? I have had problems
