Hi everybody,
I'm a newbie here. It's dope to see that there's a forum like this. (been out of the ugh...loop for a minute i guess). Well, I'm definately a Roger Linn soldier! I'm trying to hook up my MPC 60 to my Digi 002. Can someone please provide a step by step way for me to get started? Much appreciated in advance, again it's dope to find this site!
Peace
Dusty

well, do you want to use the 8 outs or the stereo outs?

Hook up the 8 outs to the 8 inputs on the digi, then hook up midi from computer out to mpc in, and mpc out to computer in.

then you gotta work out what program you are using and set it up that way (I'm guessing Pro Tools).

andreas, i try to get my fingers dusty as much as i can no doubt! :)
elmacaco, good looks on that, my thing is when i look at the back of the digi 002 there is only marked input 5-8?? i am assigning 8 outs from my mpc to the digi 002, and im gonna be using protools. is there a particular setting that i have to do to use 8 outs from my mp to 8 ins of the digi 02? sorry im really new at this.

First off, take a look at this picture and then make sure you have all your outputs assigned on your MPC.

Now that you have set up what sounds are assigned to what output... all you need to do is connect up your 8 MPC outputs to the 8 jack inputs on the back of your 002. In Pro Tools, make 8 new mono channels and name each one before recording... eg. channel 1 - kick, channel 2 - snare etc etc

then hit record!

good luck

Oh yeah and inputs 1-4 are just above the XLR inputs on the back.
