which cables to use? unbalanced or balanced?

Im curious, which works best when hooking up a 2000xl to a digital multitrack recorder? Unbalanced or Balanced cables (Im using a Roland VS-2680)

any advice?

I don't think there is any use in using balanced cable to hook up your mpc to the vs-2680 since the outputs of the mpc 2kxl are unbalanced. It is always ag good idea to use quality cables though
