What Project Mode Q-Links do you use?

Hey all,

I’ve finally mapped my Launchkey 49 to the MPC one with the ssh firmware. My Launchkey knobs control Q-Links so I have all 16 at the ready.

My question is what Project Mode Q-Links do you all setup? Do you add filters on submixes, master effects, effects sends, etc?

Asking for a friend.

One workflow i use is to put there parameters from whatever program/FX i'd like to automate on the level of the whole long and at the same time.
After I put together a Song (in Song mode) from various sequences, export it to a new sequence and then to add final touches after the main part of arrangement is done.
Or when i want to mess around with some semi "live performance" thing add whatever i feel like i'd need.
Or when i want to to post a video with a beat and i need a way to quickly make a loop more interesting

What ideas did you have for it so far?

I would do that if they allowed any of those things to be automated, but nope.

Thanks for reminding me of that Jabberwalky. I am looking for something that will allow me to “perform” some live tweaks and effects using my external controller (Launchkey), but recording the automation is pretty important.

So basically: create sequences > chain them together into a song > export as sequence > create Project Q-link mappings to specific parameters on synth or audio tracks > record automation to “song” sequence > export.

Makes sense.

Anyone have interesting performance effect combos they like to use on the MPC besides standard stuff like low pass filters, volumes or effect send levels? Still wish the MPC had macros though. Managing the range for the q-links would be great.
