USB mic

Im having an issue connecting a usb mic. When I go to settings>audio device>then change it from internal to the mic, all audio stops coming out. I looked in the bible but couldn’t find anything. Any ideas would be appreciated

When using an external USB audio device, internal audio(both input and output) is disabled. If your USB microphone has a monitor output, try using it.

USB mics are not officially supported ATM, but as Elijah says, if it has a monitoring output port you can plug some headphones into that.

I don't have a 'pure' USB mic but I have tried a zoom h1n and that works fine for mic duties, monitoring with headphones plugged into the zoom itself.

Maybe in the future Akai will be able to offer the ability to set separate interfaces for input and output, like you can in the MPC Software, although ATM it would just be nice for most interfaces to not click and pop

Thanks for the replies. I don’t think the mic I have (yeti blue) has an audio output. Was thinking the update would’ve made that more straight forward haha but oh well

It has a headphone output on the underside of the mic.

Tutor you are wise haha, also I’m dumb lol. It’s actually not my mic so was just trying it but I have a dynamic mic that works good enough for me when I add the air maximizer and some compression on it.
