Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hi i have just got a proteus x and i have hooked it up with the mpc 2000xl everything is working well. i can sequence the sounds of the proteus x into the mpc 2000xl with my midi controller.. when i record something and its there. but my problem is when i want to move on to the next track and record a different sound.. the sound from the first track changes but the notes is still there. can u help me?

im sorry if the way i put my words is hard to understand..

SOunds like your MIDI channels in your rack need to be adjusted, with the motif there is voice mode and multi mode. IN voice mode you can only play one voice at a time. Multi mode is when u can assign differnt notes to differnt channes.

TO me it sounds like your rack is in voice mode, THis is why when u move to the next track and change the midi channel, the sound changes on the first track also.

but i have never messed with a protus so u will have to read the manual

software, i though maybe it may have a multimode or something
