Me too! I used to hit up the Roadium and Slauson swapmeet. You been where a real DJ and collector will have traveled. You're a real og in the game. Then in the early 1990s they started making one of kind vinyl breakbeat records, and I used to go from record store to record on melrose and in hollywood picking up breakbeat records that many artist also started using like dr dre/nwa, epmd, etc hip hop artist everywhere jumped on the early breakbeat records to use the DJ samples during the sample cd era as the DJ records samples market started to expand. I used to shop for $1.00 old used albums in hollywood to sample. I bought tons of great albums and breaks for pennies and dollars, I just sold a ton of my old albums and single to this record store owner the other day that came and picked up a load because I got everything on cd now. But many of the old rare one of a kind 1985-1994 breakbeats I collected I kept. I bought one of a kind remixes with stems of major hits of that time that never was done that way since. The vinyl breakbeats era produced some of the greatest sample breaks ever that people have in their possession right now. I used to work with a sample CD maker who produced the LA Riots sample CD series. That's amazing bro, that you were there during the whole west coast era in the trenches.
