MIDI Keyboard not recognized - "MIDI-SYNC" menu missing

Hi all,

I want to connect a MIDI keyboard with a 5 pin MIDI cable to the MPC.
The cable goes from the keyboard (MIDI Out) to the MPC (MIDI IN CH1).

With the previous software 2.9 the MPC recognized the keyboard automatically without any special settings.

With the current version 2.10.1 it is no longer automatically recognized.
In the manual I read that the "Receive MMC" setting must be activated.
But the entry "MIDI-SYNC" in the menu under Preferences is missing. See screenshot from dropbox.

Is this a bug or what software settings need to be adjusted?
The MPC firmware is: 2.10.0.82 (v0.50)

LOL WHAT IN THE FRICK. yeah dude that isnt right at all, have you tried resetting your preferences? sometimes the settings file gets skewed it seems. You should have a few more options than that.

Your machine is missing half the preference items. Definitely a bad install. Have you tried resetting preferences and reinstalling?

Yes the problem was that I was in control mode. In standalone mode all settings were present.

And the MIDI didn't work because the cable was broken. Thanks to my cats... of course I had not thought of that.
